17 April, 2012 – Minister Quinn welcomes the publication of Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Bill.
The Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn T.D., today welcomed the publication of Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Bill which provides for the establishment of a Statutory Fund to support the needs of survivors of residential institutional child abuse.
The Minister said: “15,000 former residents are expected to be eligible to apply for support from the Fund and every effort is being made to minimise the administration involved.”
“Some former residents advocate a simple distribution of the available money. However, I believe that the Fund should target resources at services to support former residents’ needs, such as counselling, psychological support services and mental health services, health and personal social services, educational services and housing services.”
While the Residential Institutions Redress Board provides financial compensation to those who suffered abuse while resident in the institutions, the new Statutory Fund will focus on meeting specified needs that many survivors have as they struggle with the effects of abuse that may have taken place many years ago.
The Fund will be financed from the cash contributions, of up to €110 million, offered by the religious congregations. To date, contributions of €21.05 million have been received from the congregations towards the Fund.
Minister Quinn said: “The Government believes that the costs of the response to residential abuse should be shared on a 50:50 basis, between the taxpayer and those responsible for managing the institutions where horrendous child abuse took place.”
“I am continuing to pursue the 50:50 division with the management bodies involved and have proposed the transfer of school infrastructure to the State for the benefit of the taxpayer as one mechanism to allow those involved the opportunity to shoulder their share of the costs.”
“It is my hope that this new Fund will provide ongoing support to those who suffered as children in residential care in State supervised institutions. We have let these people down in the past. I am determined that we will not fail them again. I intend to proceed as quickly as possible with the enactment of the legislation so as to establish the Fund at the earliest possible date,” Minister Quinn concluded.

wELL NO ONE IS PERFECT.throughtout my life i had to do dirty jobs. thats what the industriel schools did to us. without any family its very hard to pick oneself up and carry on. well we have done that . You might not know mary but before all this we had signed a petition for Paddy to represent us. several hundred of us so he is our representant in dublin. there are people from the institutions all over the planet. the staturary fund states who can benefit from it. it states that all the survivers from the institutions should be able to benefit if thay went to the redress board or to the courts.your interpretation seems very different from mine and many others. you dont know anything about our lives. many injured there have life long needs. many are retired. in need of hearing aids . false teeth. in cases of burst ear drums well like me thay had had operations and all that without familys to be there for us well i think its perfectly natural that we find this unfair.

What you had at the entrance the Pro-Cathedral today, was what has been there EVERY Sunday, for God knows how many YEARS now : the regular banners denouncing the Rape of Children in Ireland; pointing the finger at the lies and deception of the Catholic Church here; bringing attention to the plight of the Magdalenes; highlighting the direct involvement of the Vatican, the Pope himself and his Cardinals in circum-navigating the scandal of world-wide Pedophilia amongst its ranks; the non-status of women; and a special mention today of Cardinal Sean Brady, Primate of All-Ireland, for being so notoriously in the headlines now after being EXPOSED last week (see the Youtube documentary in the previous post on this site).
Mass-goers march in past the banners, then walk out. Some foreign visitors see the posters, shrug their shoulders to each other (in disgust at the abuse). Today, ONE lady from the religious orders, expressed her wish to ‘complain at the so-called protest’, on the basis that it was disrespectful to have this crude show of slogans when she was coming to WORSHIP GOD. But affording the ‘protestors’ to RIGHT to peacefully protest. How generous.
The only person who is there ‘protesting’ – is JOHN.
He comes in with his banners, every Sunday, and deals with the Gardai; with the Inspector – in his special four-by-four squad car. He resists with great spirit, the threats he receives of, for example, ‘obstructing a public path’…..etc, while cars are ignored on double-yellow lines right in front of the exit (the fire brigade and emergency services would not be impressed with that!). So much so that at other times, the Gardai leave him alone. Maybe they are slowly becoming embarrassed at this situation.
John was alone. He thanks and welcomes support. He is VERY DIGNIFIED in situations such as with the Nun today. Very strong and dignified, especially when you remember that he put his life on the line less than a year ago when he went on hunger strike outside the Archbishop’s Palace.

I can well understand your demands for cash-in-hand as a small token of compensation and redress for the pain and suffering you have all endured, but I’m afraid it will not free you from the oppressions and the continuing control of your lives and those of your children and your children’s children by those who have inflicted your sufferings, the Roman Catholic Cult.
If you do not free yourselves and the people of Ireland from your oppressors, then they will continue in their ways and undoubtedly your children and their children will again suffer in the same or similar ways in which you have done. One memory i took to goldenbridge with me was of the brewery horses clattering through the streets of dublin with children hanging on to the back. these horses were lovely animals. in g b we were told that the goodies among the nuns wore horse skin under thier habits to please jesus. i kept wondering about the skined horses. it gave me nightmares for years. being part of the chosen ones in a heaven with no animals and only nuns and priests put me off. i was 8 and i decided i wanted to go where my dad was. religions are too cruel

You can rightly be proud of Ireland and of being Irish. Ireland is a beautiful country and Irish people have given some wonderful music, humour, and dancing to the world. It is however unfortunate that a foreign religious Cult from the Middle East, was allowed to impose itself in Ireland and to destroy the fine native Irish religions and to indoctrinate and brainwash the people of Ireland and impose spiritual oppression. In fact my best friends, most of which I am still in contact with, are virtual “time bombs”, or with very short fuses. For example, only yesterday, I was contacted by “Tommy” one of my best friends and co-slave in Artane prison school. I knew then the fate of he and of his family even then. But when I learned of his brothers fate at the hands of the Redress Board, I cracked. The comment is somewhere on this site. Tommy is a wonderful person, what wonderful voice, he gave to song. His way of coping with his demons. for the thousands of enslaved victims, that passed through Kilkenny and Artane prison schools, I can recall hundreds of terrible accounts, like 4 yr old Errol , sodamised, watched him slowly die with his entrails hanging from his bottom. His screams of agony, the funeral, still drive me almost insane, Kevin, the funeral”Raggy Boy”, Frank J, mad and rotting in Dublin, Grange Gorman Asylum for the criminally insane. Some lost limbs through terrible brutality and survived. Even I plotted to kill an Kapo Inmate who policed us for our masters. He switched on me for stealing food, I was very ill due to lack of food. He caused to be beaten, then left to stand guarding the Apse Gate, in rain, cold in early December/winter. From about 8am to 6pm on a Saturday no food, at 12 yrs of age. I managed to survive pneumonia, yes I am a hateful little creature. Lucky for me, he later fled and is still hiding in America. They can keep that two faced, Scab, a disgusting disgrace to our kind. Jarl, it goes on and on, and many of the Victims of Irish Roman Catholic, Slavery, as yet, have not made it out of the Victims Closet. Hey, all you victims out there, come on lets read your accounts. Well from childhood on the teachings of the nuns and priests is based on extreme suffering. children learning that thay were guilty of the the crime of murder and torture. pain is what thay think is needed so in life we are supposed to punish ourselves. its full of very cruel things and generations have been put through guilt and shame. thay imposed the idea that thay knew more than we do. in goldenbridge there was a lot of self mutilation. to get a bit of attention and be told to offer the pain up to god. its shamefull to rob children of all self esteem.we should be able to enjoy our lives instead of all this misery.
In my very limited study of the activities of the Roman Catholic Church in Ireland and in talking with a small number of victim/survivors, it has repeatedly struck me very forcibly that the Irish people have been living in a state of abject terror and fear of the RC Church and its priests and leaders. The RC Cult have controlled the Irish people by creating this fear and instilling obedience in everyone.
I recently saw the documentary “Somebody should have heard the screams” and was again struck by elderly survivors who still held that fear of priests and nuns and became physically and emotionally ill when they were in the presence of RC Priests and Nuns in St Peter’s Square and they had to leave.
It is now my view that the RC Cult are a terrorist organisation, with a tyrannical hold over the Irish people and requiring complete obedience from them. Whole families lived in fear of the RC priests (and many still do) and in fact enforce the requirements of the priests even when they’re not there. “Father X will not be happy when he knows you have done X,Y, or Z”. This is mind control at its worst when victims act on behalf of the persecutors. Even the `Confessional’ is a part of the control methods, because it gives the oppressors information which they can then use to control their victims. The test now will be whether the Irish people can cast off their controls and escape from their continuing indoctrinations and brainwashing.
You have suffered the most from the tyranny and oppression by the RC Cult, but this is something which affects everyone in Ireland and it will be a test of the Irish intellect and resolve to see if they can cast off this Rule of Terror by indoctrination and the continuing Control by Fear.
It is essential that each of your accounts of what took place are told to the world and to future generations. Each of you writing a book will take an immense amount of time and effort and more than a little return of the pain and suffering. It may be easier and quicker if each were to write just a few hundred words and for someone to act as a copy editor, assembling the accounts and putting it together as a collection of essays. Just a thought. I have had two books (on other subjects) published using that method – proceeds shared with the contributors of course.
My suggestion for a Title would be: `The Irish Holocaust’ (perpetrated by the Roman Catholic Church) as there are many parallels with events in Europe between 1933-1945 when people were persecuted, tortured, tormented, and killed by similar tyrannical oppressors.

Hello well so thats what she was doing all these years.moving nuns about whom complaints were made was one of the tricks used. even the lay helpers were strange. thay were sent back there because thay were unable to look after themselves outside so thay took it out on us too . i am amazed that she is still there but i think death is trying to ignore her. hard to believe she was a women. she was so full of hate at life.

Hi Jackson Pauline, no i have not read the book i must look it up, it was st kyrans co wicklow that i meet evil xeveria she was transfered there from goldenbridge, she would not allow my 2 brothers go to her school they were sent to st michaels in finglas dublin, xeveria is still alive and living in a nursing home in sallins co kildare, i guess it true its hard to kill a bad thing, when my legal team contacted her about me the church protected her and excepted my evidence she did not make a statement but she said sorry to me trough her legal team, her bed room in wicklow was small with two small beds and a locked door from 7 in the evening til 5 in the morning… my life is not to bad giving the childhood i had, but i live for my two kids they are my reason to go on and have a life if not the church would have won. hope you are keeping well best wishes, Cathriona.
Well at least from 1963 Xeveria had gone. the nun that took over is said to have changed lots of things. have you read bernadete fahys book. its worth it as knowing that brothers and sisters were no longer put into different institutions. that means that at least thay knew each other. He was released from Artane Prison School in late 1945. Boarded a British Merchantman in Dublin and was enlisted as a Cadet Officer. His Catholic exploits, a few years later in Vietnam as a few Chinese infantry officer, specializing in interrogation of foreign crusaders(devils) earned him a frightening reputation. Yes Mary2, he/she has. However, the vast majority of Irish people do not know, or rather, do not want to know, they too were systematically abused as child, by their own parents.

However, if your children (or mine) were not treated “equal and fair”, that is, not LOVED when they were children, then they will not love you (their Mother, or whoever raised them) when they are adults.
They may go through the motions of loving you as a parent eg., at your funeral etc., but they will not really love you, if you did not love them when they were a child.

Well thats very interesting and explains why there is so much confusion.In the statury fund its stated as being for housing and education. also family tracing. Of course these people need caring attention.but i dont understand the link between the two.Had this aspect been clearer in the texte it would have saved a lot of time . these kinds of services need real professionals. why arent thay using the ones in place on the health service.and what is done to house and educate them.thay sound as if thay can be dangerous.

The purpose of the fund is to support survivors in need its not there to look after abuse victims it there to support victims in a crisis. There are all lot of survivors that have dementia who are so confused treatment for these survivors is very difficult These survivors be come so angry and confused nothing is on there medical file that they were so badly abused as children as they feared authority Doctors and nurses diagnose these people as violent but there just reliving the childhood again. There not been understood when they lash out and become angry when anyone goes near them. So there given medication to keep them calm that why elderly survivors and anyone who needs care should be looked after. I am a survivor I need money have had it hard but I’m happy to earn my own money. My children are my blessing some survivors don’t even have that. There is nothing wrong with having a drink but blow your own money on that. Money wont take away pain but by giving and caring for others helps me,As for the Madagline women I hope there’s justice soon.
hello mary . i think that we do know that the staturary fund is imposed on us now . i agree with you that a pension should have been awarded the problem is that for 11years now it hasent been working for so many as a staturary fund but as a private buisness. familys have taken over the running of things. its only draging things out. the Magdelaines ladies are owed thier pay by the church. thay enriched them a lot. now its time to share the profits its up to the law to impose this. free workers disguised as prinoners is a shamefull situation to except on behalf of them . if others do this well thay are doing the job for the government.

I have had operations over the abuse I endured.I have anger and hurt but the trust fund is here to stay and it should be used for the elderly and people who need care and support not people to blow down the pub. I work hard for my living and there are days I don’t want to go on. If it wasn’t for my lovely children I would have ended it years ago so life go on.

I don’t what you mean exactly by the “outside world”, but the fact is, the vast majority of Irish adults living in Ireland were well aware of the horrors that went on inside those Roman Catholic “Industrial Schools” and “Orphanages”, such as Artane and Goldenbridge. And the reason why very few of those adults, often parents themselves, did nothing about the systematic barbarism that went on behind the Closed Doors and High Walls of those child prisons, is because they were either TERRIFIED of those who were in control of Ireland, at the time – namely, the Catholic Church – and/or they were ardent supporters of that same organisation. The sad tragedy is, MOST Irish adults were ardent supporters of the Catholic Church, and many still are to this day.
You go onto to say:-

I, for one, moved on with my life, despite the fact that I did not get any justice from the Irish Authorities for the harm inflicted on me, by them. It was the fact that I came to realise I would NEVER get Justice from those who were responsible for almost killing me. I kid you not …
Ireland is not going to change in any significant way unless and until enough Irish citizens rid themselves of the dire effects of their childhood experience of Roman Catholic dogma. As far as I’m concerned, that is not going to happen in the foreseeable future. Meantime, I get on with my life as best I can.

thanks for the information. i left ireland when i left goldenbridge like many others in the early 60ths. its a terrable way to have treated a child. so many were lied to by these nuns and priests. i dont think that thay understand how loving perents help people to become adults.all this attention towards talk about the next life means that thay miss this life. our needs are about this life.

Yes you are right that thanks to paddy doyle we can express what we feel. This wont change anything as the trust fund has been there for 11 years. without internet we wouldnt be aware of all this.as for helping others well its been a long time now. in all these 11years i have recieved 3 xmas cards informing me of office hours. since i live abroad thats all i will ever benefit. as for get a life for ourselves well we all have our lives since we are still breathing and writing. in the future this fund will be seen as charity because thats what the group leaders have turned it into. and the people who worked in the industriel schools and the laundry workers will be ignored. and thay will be awarded for this confusion. then the church can get back to bossing all of ireland.
Mary – the feelings expressed on here are representative of all of those who suffered, not just the individuals involved. And the outside world needs to know about those atrocities and the Irish Holocaust perpetrated by the Roman Catholic Church. No amount of money will ever compensate for the pain and suffering and misery endured by those who were the victims of the Irish Holocaust. For two thousand years the Roman Catholic Church have committed a variety of atrocities in various parts of the world, from genocides in Central America, through the Inquisitions, the Witch trials, to the latter day enslavements, and abductions and abuses of children. Just as the Jewish Holocaust must always be remembered, so must this Irish Holocaust or they will be repeated albeit in a different form as long as the Roman Catholic Church continues.
Victims cannot move on with their lives until they see their violators justly punished and they have obtained a just redress for their sufferings, so please have some empathy, compassion, and understanding towards them. Your bitterness for your loss should be turned on the perpetrators, and not upon other victims.
Oliver – Well done. I shall be following your progress with great interest although it is not quite what I was suggesting – you may need the support of others to pursue your goals and a Class Action for Crimes against Humanity would have been more appropriate. I dident know that thay were still sending children to the industriel schools in the 1980ths. i had read that thay had been closed by thel except for the Madgelaine ladys. these people dont have any feelings for the people themselves. its just a way of justifying thier ways with others.and yes martha i was abandoned by my mother for reasons i couldent understand at that time. But i met her later on and she was a stranger to me. it had been too long and she had a family about whom i hadent known so it was me turning up and having to get over my surprise. I felt very uneasy about how to act and what to call her. But i refused to go to church so i had to leave.

Dear Cathriona, I offer you my deepest sympathy. I have had many such horriblly painful experiences dealing with the Irish Catholic Authorities, which caused a great deal of suffering for my children as well as me, their mother. I know exactly what you’re talking about.

There are other things which you may wish to consider to bring attention to your situations and what you have all suffered and to gain some degree of restitution for your sufferings.
Firstly you could consider bring a Class Action – this is far from easy as has been found by an Australian group of Victims of the Roman Catholic Atrocities. The Courts ruled that the Roman Catholic Church doesn’t exist – at least not as a legal entity (very clever move many years ago by the Vatican) so it cannot be sued. Each institution or its trustees would have to be sued or the individuals who inflicted the harms on you.
Secondly you need media and public attention and sympathy – A Silent Candlelit Vigil in a prominent place (perhaps on a regular basis) for all those who suffered from the RC Church Atrocities and Crimes, many of whom have taken their own lives because of the abuse. You already have the sympathy and support of many hundreds of people around the world, but this must be built on to have any effect. You will find that you have many supporters and sympathisers in the most unlikely parts of the world.
Just a few thoughts for those of you who want to channel your pain, anguish, and anger into an active and constructive responses. However if this is just about how much or how little money individuals may receive and not about seeking an ultimate justice for all, then support for your cause will be limited.

I am assuming you are “for real” Pauline, so I am responding to this comment of yours as such.
The Catholic Church, nor any other organised group, cannot take the place of your own parents, or those who were your primary guardians, when you were a child. They may try to, but they only succeed in doing so if you believe they have such a right. Of course, if a child is totally abandoned, he or she will believe those who claim to be a Surrogate Parent. That’s because children and not only naturally dependent on adults for their survival, but are naturally trusting. A child is not an adult; the transition between the two stages of development is longer with us adults with us humans, than it is with other animals.

Well martha i am afraid that because of a court decision the Church became my perents throughout the years inside i used the words mother and father to black dressed nastys. when i left i was unable to call anyone mother or father. it was a problem when i became a mother myself. Amy, Without doubt, it has been made very obvious to the Mighty Quinn and his Dept, the wishs of a vast amount of Survivors, mostly in their elderly years now, to have a final award of redress from the contributions the Religious made to us, thus allowing us to bring our respective claims to an end and manage the rest of our lives ourselves, But as always ,we are ignored and getting shafted once again!
This STF the Government is proposing shoud merit the opinions of the Survivors it is intended for, but are being denied, and it makes no sence at all to me.
Certainly i belieive their are thousands of Survivors living abroad that this STF could assist, but i also beleive that by addressing the current Survivors that request payments now, it would make life easier for the STF board to administer, having reduced the list of applicants, and also reduce the vast costs that this proposed STF will incur in running it.
Last year it was said their would be two former Survivors on the Board ,now that has been increased to four, and the mind boggles as to who exactly they will be? And just how exactly were they selected?
The many Survivors in the UK and Ireland are able to avail themselves of the services included in the STF proposal, and in their elder years now, certainly dont need to pursue education courses etc, they simply only request being given some respect to their wishs that they have indicated over the years, their means to manage the remainder of their lives with the funding the Religious contributed to us.
LOOK AT IT HOW YOU LIKE ,BUT FROM WHERE I AM STANDING , WE WERE WELL SCREWED AND FKD UP AS CHILDREN , AND THE MIGHTY QUINN AND HIS GANG ARE CONTINUEING WHERE THE RELIGIOUS LEFT OFF!

Martha – my reference to upbringing and childhood experiences was specifically to psychopaths who are born with a neurological defect. It is those cases where upbringing and childhood experiences are irrelevant. The dysfunctional brain operations of Psychopaths can now be diagnosed by a Brain MRI scan. It is therefore inappropriate to ascribe their lack of emotions, affections, and remorse to upbringing.
There is a school of thought that psychopathic defects may be related to a gene inherited from the times when some humans cross-bred with Neanderthals, and this may have some link to the Geneva studies mentioned by Raymond.
Raymond you seem to be suggesting that the abuse of children is an inherited trait and that people who are abused go on to abuse their own children. I would strongly contest such an assertion – there are thousands of people who were abused in their childhood but have not gone on to abuse their own children.
There is no form of treatment for psychopaths as it is a neurological defect and so at the moment there is no possibility of reducing their number. `Therapy’ is totally unproductive with psychopaths, as are `Anger Management Courses’. What we can do however is to ensure they are identified and diagnosed and then controlled in some way (possibly a National Register of Violent Offenders) so that we can all be protected from them and minimise the possibility of their continuing reproduce themselves. Many are already in prisons and many others are on Sexual Offenders (Paedophile) Registers, but until neurologists are able to identify more clearly their defects and develope some form of treatment that is the best that can be done.

Jarl, with respect, my views are based on my own personal experience. Who knows, maybe by genes/DNA is defective? As far as I’m concerned, we humans (like ALL other living creatures) are deeply affected by our environment as infants. Sigmund Freud has nothing to do with my understanding of Life: I have read some of his books but he does not influence the way I perceive the things. For example, I don’t particularly like processed food and Herr Freud has nothing to do with that. Incidentally, I don;t have any books in my library written by Freud.
I’m not “blaming” parents and upbringing for something which is not in their control. I’m simply saying that the environment into which a child is born and raised in has a long-lasting effect on his or her adult personality, regardless of whether that environment is Good, or Bad on the child’s development.
As far as I’m concerned, our earliest experience of Life is the most profound experience we will ever have – apart from any totally random experiences we may have as an adult. I’m also speaking from experience here :)

Like you, many of us have written, and emailed our protests to this STF, to the mighty quinn, and his fellow gangsters in the lacky Government. But all to no avail.
This board of 9 who are going to run the STF apparently have 4 former residents sitting among them, that is suppose to give us a degree of comfort i guess, but my feeling is that it will be four members or leaders of the various groups that have been well funded over the years on the backs of the vast memberships they claim to have!
It remains to be seen, and i just wonder how these 4 were selected? Obviously seen as ideal to the assistance of quinn in setting up the deal that is basicly doing nothing but adding further ABUSE to us all, now in the adult stage of our lives. So, screwed as Children, and again as Adults, all down to a very bent religious outfit, and a very bent Irish Government.

As a Canadian citizen, by choice, I received the 38 pages of what the minister had from the very beginning planned, it was all I expected from him, if 15,000 said NO to the fund and one minister said YES to the fund then that is Irish Politics, the Minister wins the vote, period.
Lets call me a Group Leader, God forbid, and I speak for the thousands of men women and children in Canada, the USA. Martha – Yes there are many PSYCHOPATHS in their ranks, but this is not brought about by childhood experiences. Freud got a lot of other things wrong too. It is a neurological defect where the psychopath is devoid of emotions, affections, remorse, and in particular empathy for their victims. Psychopaths can now be identified by Brain MRI scans. The psychopathic condition is not treatable by psychiatric methods and psychiatrists avoid diagnosing them. They are a scourge in our society and must be isolated and controlled. By that I mean, they are NEVER going to hear your pain, for the simple reason they are have been dehumanised by their own childhood experience. Since its been turned into a fund for all well its missing the survivers of industriel schools. in a few years it will be an established charity fund and the inmates forgotten just as the church wants.

I seldom comment on here but feel it necessary to do so now. Taking just one aspect of the Residential Institutions Statutory Fund Bill, every person is entitled already to the medical care, education and so on that Minister Quinn says the fund will be used for. People have either private medical insurance or are covered by General Medical Services Cards. It’s clear that the Fund will be used largely to give people what they are already entitled to. Perhaps I’m wrong. I’m more than willing to be corrected. The Fund must not be used to prop up a health service that is on a ‘life support system’ with people waiting inordinate lengths of time of medical care. I don’t see anything in the Bill that will speed up the process of getting people urgent/private care.

Those that are deemed to be of benifit from this STF, were refused any sort of say or opinion on it, and were ignored from the start, the entire set up of this STF is designed to add insult to injury to the vast amount of Survivors, many have passed on throughout the last 2 years, and many more wont have their issues addressed due to the fact that they are obviously of no interest to the the likes of Quinn and his Mob.
Quinn says some Survivors would have liked a simple share of the funds, but knocks it on the head ,instead saying it should go into all the various services that most of us are already able to access in the UK and Ireland, and have been doing over the years , so it does not make sence!
Certainly the STF would be of benifit to the vast amount of Survivors living abroad, where they have to finance access to most of these services themselves,and experience hardship in doing so!
So i cannot understand why the vast amount of Survivors who requested a simple share out of the the funds, could not be addressed, bringing their claims to a final conclusion and allowing them to deal with the management of their own lives from here on.
Had that been considered, surely it would eliminate a big portion of the Survivors list, and reducing administering costs, with only the folk living abroad and anyone else that would require the STF benifit with grants and help with their requests etc.
Overall it is disgusting that the very people that are entitled to this further redress were totally ignored and treated so badly ,yet again by the Government of Ireland

We will end up allowing them money for schools we’ve been paying for over decades while the Anti-Human forces of the Pope set about brainwashing Irish children.
Apart from the men and women – Victims, Survivors and their Families – who are best placed to assist and advise on the needs of their fellow Victims with regard to a speedy and adequate compensation, “ALL OTHERS” would do well to read the following book to give them a ‘sense’ of the issues involved:

This whole 50:50 thing is a farce. Using tax-payer money to pay for the crimes of the institutions is in itself a crime. What had the tax-payer to do with it? Some of those tax-payers are themselves victims of institutional abuse; so we’re asking victims to pay part of their own compensation.
The church should provide the cash even if it has to declare bankruptcy. The churches can’t be sold as they were paid with congregants funds. Offering cash is out of the question too. Time for the Vatican to pay their full debt to Irish victims. The government has been way to lax in dealing with this. Bertie Ahearn – a divorcee – accepted a Knighthood from the Church as Taoiseach in return from what – a 50/50 deal one wonders?
The Vatican Embassy in Dublin should be closed until such debts had been paid in full and the Vatican sued through the European Courts. It would be appropriate to apply to have their privilege of State-hood removed to avoid their hiding assets and the guilty.
Making financial compensation is only a part of the atonement that should ne made to victims of Roman Catholicism. The most important step is to bring actions in the European Courts against the Roman Catholic Church and its leaders, employees, and followers for their Crimes against Humanity and atrocities committed over centuries. 1. The phsyical, sexual, and emotional abuses of thousands of chidlren; 2. The enslavement of girls and boys in Magdalen laundries and industrial schools; 3. The ordering of women and children back into domestic situations where they were abused by psychopathic males; 4. The abduction of babies ands small children from young mothers, often within minutes of their birth; 5. The fear and terror instilled in millions to obey them, or suffer spritual degradation after death; 6. The transportation of children to other countries to be used as slaves labout and to be further abused. etc etc etc.
The Roman Catholic Church and those engaged in its organisation have been social terrorists for centuries and will not stop until they are brought to justice. Those who have suffered worldwide from their terrorism have the right justice.
